Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR)

This program is short term
; it is not designed to offer long-term support in a job.

We will help you identify interests and goals that will help connect you to jobs in your community.

We will advocate for you and support you in learning and retaining a job.

We will help you to identify other forms of support such as family, friends, and co-workers to increase your success.

It is important that you participate in the planning and identified activities in order to get the best possible benefits of this program.  Finding and activating a support system is one of the most important things we can offer you to insure that your success is not limited to paid supports.

Communication with your provider and your team is critical to the success of the program
Your DVR counselor will give you choices of agencies that can help you get a job.

We can help with:

Assessments:
helping you find the strengths you have to find a job that you will be successful in.
Job Preparation: trying out a job with support so that you have the best opportunity for success.

Job Placement: Actually helping you find a job that suits your skill level.

Job Training: Staying with you on the job to help you learn the tasks that are required of you.

Job Retention: Checking in with you periodically to help you work out any problems before they become an issue with your job.
